DESCRIPTION:The journey of human development is initiated with the fertili
 zation of the egg and sperm. However\, the basis remains poorly understood
  due to the limited experimental material. Recent advances are revealing h
 ow the fertilized human egg gives rise to a complex embryo composed of dif
 ferent structures and cell types\, including the gamete lineage. \n\nOur f
 irst speaker will \npresent a new method to culture human embryos until em
 bryonic day 13 in vitro\,\ndescribe the transformations that embryos under
 go\, and \nexplore the potential causes of early pregnancy loss.\n\nOur se
 cond speaker will: \nintroduce the latest knowledge of human early germlin
 e development\, \ndescribe the unique molecular regulation for lineage spe
 cification\, and \nDiscuss the technical challenges and the future of in v
 itro gametogenesis.\n
