DESCRIPTION:*The importance of understanding and 'reprogramming' the tumou
r microenvironment*\n\nEvery cancer is a complex microenvironment of malig
nant cells supported by a wide variety of ‘normal’ cells that are recr
uited\, and often corrupted’ by the malignant cells to help the cancer g
row and spread. There are ‘exhausted’ immune cells\, over-active fibro
blasts and tortuous leaky blood vessels often supported by a stiff and abn
ormal fibrous mesh. Understanding and ‘reprogramming’ this microenviro
nment can restrict vital supplies to the cancer and re-awaken the immune c
ells to recognise and destroy malignant cells.\n\n"Add to calendar":https:
