DESCRIPTION:<p>\n Cambridge University Chemical Society\,
in association with the Royal Society of Chemistr
y\, is delighted to present a forum on Interdiscip
linarity in Science. \n<br><br>\n	Featuring a dive
rse panel of leading researchers and government ad
visors\, we will debate how the increasingly inter
disciplinary nature of certain areas of science im
pacts on the potential career paths of young scien
tists. \n<br><br>\n	Discussion topics will include
issues that will be relevant from a careers persp
ective\, such as funding opportunities\, and resea
rch impact\, as well as problems of knowledge mana
gement and balance between breadth and depth. We w
ill also examine how interdisciplinarity can shape
  a scientific education\, preparing students for r
esearch in areas that draw upon many different fie
lds. \n <br>\n<br>\nChairing the debate will
