DESCRIPTION:This session introduces participants to the concep
 t of research data and all the forms that it can t
 ake. It will then look at managing different types
  of data depending on its type\, such as its sensi
 tivity. Different storage methods are discussed as
  well as best practice approaches to avoid serious
  data loss during a research project. Effective da
 ta management approaches will be explored\, as wel
 l as how to create a data management plan\, before
  concluding with an overview of useful tools and s
 ervices.
