DESCRIPTION:\nCutting edge microscopy techniques rely more and more on com
 putational methods. \nThis talk will introduce two such techniques availab
 le in Cambridge Advanced Imaging Centre (CAIC): single plane illumination 
 microscopy (SPIM) and single molecule light microscopy (SMLM). \nTypical i
 mage processing and analysis steps are presented\, together with challenge
 s related to data size\, scalability\, data quality (especially signal-to-
 noise ratio) and computational complexity.
