DESCRIPTION:Each regular algebraic\, conjugate self-dual\, cuspidal automo
 rphic representation of GL(n) over a CM number field has an associated con
 tinuous l-adic Galois representation. In this talk\, I'll explain how to c
 onstruct congruences between the direct sum of two such Galois representat
 ions and some Galois representation associated to a cuspidal automorphic r
 epresentation of GL(2n). The construction is conditional on the endoscopic
  classification of automorphic representations of inner forms of unitary g
 roups\, announced by Kaletha\, Minguez\, Shin and White.
