DESCRIPTION:I will review recent progress in the methods used to investiga
 te exoplanets\, and how they are opening the chance to study climatic\, ge
 ological and possibly biological processes beyond the Solar system. Partic
 ularly\, I will present the recent discovery of the TRAPPIST-1 and what we
  have learned of its seven Earth-like worlds.
