DESCRIPTION:It has proved difficult to access Drosophila’s sensory organ
s tucked as they are into tiny exoskeletal compartments like the antennae.
I will discuss a method we have developed to open such compartments for p
hysiological and pharmacological experiments\, together with our recent fi
ndings using this technique. In addition\, I will talk about our explorati
on of Drosophila’s frontal pulsatile organ\, which drives haemolymph thr
 ough the antennae.
