DESCRIPTION:I will present a series of studies where the structure and mor
 phology of conjugated polymers is analysed using STM. In particular I will
  discuss the effect of chemical defects in 1D conjugated polymers on the i
 nterchain interactions and I will also demonstrate the post-synthetic stab
 ilisation of 2D monolayer polymers using chemical reduction.
