DESCRIPTION:Can be both open-ended or well-defined (depending
on student interest). \n\nOpen-ended version: you
will read and understand recent papers on near-ter
m quantum algorithms (choice according to your int
erest)\, implement a simulation into code and hope
fully suggest improvements to the algorithm. \n\nW
ell-defined version: you will focus on active mach
ine learning variational quantum algorithms to sol
ve chemistry problems (i.e. finding ground state e
 nergies of compounds like H2O\, O2 etc.). \n\nAn e
ven more well-defined version: you will optimise e
xisting company code of standard quantum algorithm
 s (such as Shor's\, Grover's\, eigensolver) or a p
articular algorithm recently invented by the compa
 ny. \n
