If you have a question about this talk, please contact Biomedical Engineering Association - Cambridge Centre. Current surgical robots give surgeons the ability to precisely and delicately manipulate tissue without requiring large incisions into the body. The robots themselves are large and costly, however, which limit their use. We discuss some of the engineering underpinnings that cause these robotic systems to be large, and talk through strategies for overcoming these limitations. Please book your place at http://nearyou.imeche.org/near-you/UK/Eastern/biomedical-engineering-association-cambridge-centre/Event-Detail?id=14473 Please note that this talk will now take place at Cambridge Consultants on the Science Park.
