Abstract
Jastrow factors enable the description of inter-particle correlations in many-electron systems. Current leading-edge quantum Monte Carlo simulations typically use two different sorts of Jastrow factor, one to capture short-ranged correlations and another, completely separate, factor to account for long-range correlations. In this talk I will present a new Jastrow factor which captures both long- and short-range inter-particle correlations, and moreover is cheaper and easier to use than the current method.
