Periodic and Ergodic Spectral Problems

I will review serveral minimax characterisations for the eigenvalues in the gap of the massive Dirac operator with electrostatic Coulombic singularities and present a new result which covers all subcritical coupling constants. The talk is based on a joint work with David Mller (LMU Munich).
