If you have a question about this talk, please contact Michael Sutherland.

We apply strong transverse magnetic fields to drive a quasi-one-dimensional Ising magnet to its critical point separating magnetic order and paramagnetic phases and use neutron scattering to observe how the magnetic quasiparticles change character upon crossing the critical field.

This talk is part of the Quantum Matter Seminar series.
