STFC collaborative R&D funding

The STFC has a number of schemes which fund translational R&D linking STFC -funded research with other areas. Dr Vlad Skarda (STFC External Innovations) will describe these schemes and answer questions. The Computational Radiotherapy group (Cavendish HEP and Oncology) successfully applied for one of these grants for Accel-RT (www.accel-rt.org, 3 years, £450k in total). Michael Simmons (Cavendish Laboratory research facilitator) will briefly describe the process. Support for proposal preparation will be provided following the talk through Michael Simmons and colleagues.
