Professor Meineck examines the “cognitive gaps” that are filled by performance (e.g. cognitive absorption, empathy, mind-body dissonance, music and emotions, movement and multi-modal processing) and its role in the Health Humanities. Through his company Aquila Theatre he has directed and/or produced works by Homer, Aeschylus, Sophocles, Euripides, Aristophanes, Chaucer, Shakespeare, Rostand, Ibsen, Wilde, Pirandello, Joseph Heller and Ray Bradbury in worldwide festivals and at venues as diverse as Carnegie Hall, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, the Ancient Stadium at Delphi and the White House. http://classics.as.nyu.edu/object/PeterMeineck.html

Professor Kneebone’s innovative work around clinical simulation has brought international recognition. His recent appointment as Wellcome Trust Engagement Fellow 2013 reflects his passionate commitment to public engagement. http://www1.imperial.ac.uk/medicine/people/r.kneebone/
