Abstract
Pilgrim Beart will give a 30 minute talk on the challenges of bringing the Internet of Things to life, and share his recent experiences working with others to create interoperability amongst a diverse set of vertically-integrated platforms. Topics covered will include: . IoT is a graph, not a tree. . Human’s Don’t Scale (HyperCat) . From the edge to the middle (standards from the PHY to Open Data)
Pilgrim Beart FIET is a Computer Engineer and entrepreneur, having founded “connected” Cambridge companies Antenova (http://www.antenova.com) AlertMe (http://www.alertme.com) and most-recently 1248 (http://1248.io). Pilgrim recently spent 6 months as an Industrial Fellow at the DTG group at the Computer Lab. More at http://www.beart.org.uk.
