Light Emission by Shocked Ammonium Nitrate
- đ¤ Speaker: N E Taylor, PCS Fracture and Shock Physics Group, Cavendish Lab
- đ Date & Time: Thursday 16 February 2006, 16:00 - 17:00
- đ Venue: Mott Seminar Room, Cavendish Laboratory, Department of Physics
Abstract
Reaction in the energetic material ammonium nitrate can be induced by shock. Study of the intensity and spectrum of the light produced by this reaction may give insight into the mechanisms by which shock leads to reaction.
