If you have a question about this talk, please contact Tom Fisher .

It is natural to ask whether there is an analogue of the theta correspondence (e.g. the Shimura correspondence between modular forms of half-integral and integral weights) for mod p automorphic forms. I propose a framework in which this question can be studied.
