Abstract
Welcome back! We hope you have had a fantastic summer and that you are ready for our awesome line-up of talks this term. We particularly welcome the Freshers who have just signed up.
We hope that you are all excited by the prospect of our fascinating first talk THIS Tuesday,12th of October at 8pm.This talk is FREE and Freshers can become members of SciSoc with a special offer of 10 pounds life membership!
Dr Piers Bursill-Hall is one of few people to have professionally studied both mathematics and history. These days he teaches βHistory of Mathsβ at the University of Cambridge and is especially interested in the Ancient period. Among the undergraduates he is already a legend for his lectures and his interdisciplinary coverage during his talks. We are really happy to welcome Dr Piers Bursill-Hall for our first talk of the year!
