Please join us for our life science careers afternoon where you can learn about career options within and beyond academia, and hear from scientists in regulatory toxicology, pharmaceuticals, and biotech. Drop in for a session or stay for the whole thing, including tea, coffee, and biscuits.

1 pm – Careers Beyond Academia Seminar There will be three short talks followed by a 15-minute panel discussion from:

• Frances Hill, Office for Product Safety and Standards, Department of Business and Trade, UK Government • Marisa Cunha, Oncology Data Science and Platforms at AstraZeneca, • Anna Lindell, VP of Technology and co-founder at Cambiotics

3.00 pm – Networking with Tea, Coffee and Biscuits Meet with other MPhil students, PhD students and Postdocs from different life science departments over some refreshments. Drop-in anytime.

3.30 pm – What do life science researchers do next? Lucy Romijn, careers consultant at the University Careers Service, will be running an interactive workshop about:

• What Life Science PhDs and postdocs do next • Different routes within academia • Common career options beyond academic research • How to explore different possibilities • Careers support available to you at Cambridge
