OGGW04 - Stability and probabilistic methods

I will discuss relationships between residual finiteness, HS-stability and permutation stability for finitely generated amenable groups. The discussion will be illustrated with plenty of examples and (depending on time and audience patience) I will talk about the connection to quasidiagonality of C*-algebras.
