Get excited for our Activist-academic Panel, featuring five incredible panelists including students and academics who are also organisers or policy makers!

Dr Tristram Wyatt (he/him) Former Associate Professor of Biology at Oxford. Scientists for Extinction Rebellion and LGBTQ + rights activist.

Melanie Benedict (they/them) Cambridge SU Liberation and Welfare VP. Organising for divestment, Palestinian Liberation, Trans-inclusion, Anti-Racism and Disability Justice.

Annabelle Ferrari-Wood (she/her) Undergraduate Student at Kingโ€™s. Member of Kingโ€™s Cambridge for Palestine (KC4P) and advocate for people with learning disabilities.

Professor Jason Scott Warren (he/him) Professor of Early Modern Literature and Fellow at Gonville and Caius.

Climate activist who has coordinated an Open Letter to the Royal Society, asking it to issue a statement condemning the fossil fuel industry, that garnered 2,500 signatures. Is BP Institute about to be renamed by University of Cambridge?

SOO much knowledge and experience will be shared! The event will begin with set questions to the panel, highlighting topics like hope, art, research, and advice. You will have the opportunity to ask any burning questions in the Q&A session or 1-1 during designated time at the end of the event.

Location: Newnham College, Sidgwick Hall Date & Time: Wed 29 Oct, 18:30-20:30 Who is welcome: Everyone who is eager to learn how they can juggle their role as a student/academic with organising and influencing policy.
