In this talk, drawing on my experience as the Chief Editor of Nature Reviews Materials, I will provide insights into the editorial perspective and share practical guidance on: • What editors look for in a manuscript • How to craft a clear, well-structured research or review article • Tips for preparing a manuscript for submission • Strategies for impactful scientific writing and common pitfalls to avoid • Editorial careers as a path for PhD students and postdocs The session will conclude with time for your questions and discussion.
