If you have a question about this talk, please contact Dr Adria LeBoeuf.

I will answer three questions about the evolution of cooperation, linked by a potential role of genetic relatedness. (1) Did haplodiploid genetics favour the evolution of eusociality? (2) Does horizontal gene transfer favour cooperation in bacteria? (3) Do bacteria really cooperate? The answers are 1 x yes and 2 x no.

This talk is part of the Ad hoc Zoology talks series.
