If you have a question about this talk, please contact Paul Minter. This is a somewhat informal talk about the Strominger–Yau–Zaslow Conjecture, which predicts the existence of special Lagrangrian torus fibrations on the generic region of a family of Calabi–Yau manifolds near the large complex structure limit. The first part of the talk will focus on background and is pitched at a geometric analysis audience. We will aim to end with a sketch of the idea in the Fermat hypersurface case. This talk is part of the Geometric Analysis Seminar series. This talk is included in these lists:Note that ex-directory lists are not shown. |
