HTA - Hypergraphs: Theory and Applications

Hypergraphs can be a useful representation of complex systems and have given rise to fundamental advances in fields where the applications are clear. This lecture collects together work from the sparser literature on hypergraphs in economic and financial systems; production, trade, ownership, and price dynamics can all be said to involve higher-order relationships. The intention is to provide references to existing work, relevant background, words of caution, and pointers to relevant data on hyperedges of relevance to financial and economic systems.
