The external speaker will be research scientist, presenter and author Lewis Dartnell, whose talk is titled ‘Astrobiology and Science Writing’. The talk will bridge his academic research in astrobiology (and a new project looking at how plants could be grown in Martian soil in pressurised greenhouses to help support human missions) and his outreach work and talking a bit about the role of science communication alongside work and the books that he has written.
