Abstract
Art Gower: In this session you will learn how to simulate scalar wave scattering from a finite set of particles using the library MultipleScattering.jl Website: https://juliawavescattering.github.io/MultipleScattering.jl/dev/ The package is highly efficient, can simulate particles of different types, in any configuration, as well as easily produce images and videos. After this session, you will work in groups to use this package for a multiple scattering challenge! If you can, please bring a laptop and install Julia (https://julialang.org/downloads/) beforehand. Also get used to plotting with Plots.jl (https://docs.juliaplots.org/latest/tutorial/), and install MultipleScattering.jl Stuart Hawkins: You will learn how to simulate wave scattering from a finite set of particles using the Matlab library TMATROM . Website: http://www.romapp.org The easy to use package can be used for particles with a range of shapes and material properties in any configuration. After the session you will work in groups to use this package for a multiple scattering challenge. If you can, please bring a laptop and install Matlab beforehand.
