Abstract
Commercialising technology with i-Teams
Amy Mokady is an experienced local entrepreneur and marketeer (her first start-up STNC developed browsers for mobile phones and was acquired by Microsoft in 1999). Amy runs the Cambridge University i-Teams programme, which brings together University inventions with entrepreneurial post-graduate students, and aims to identify the best target markets for the inventions. Since 2006 i-Teams have worked on a wide range of projects, from a potential cure for TB to software that can track people’s movements in CCTV footage. This year we hope to run 21 projects with over 120 students, and to include projects and students from other nearby Universities. www.iteamsonline.org
