Selecting a Model of Supersymmetry Breaking Mediation
- đ¤ Speaker: Matthew Dolan (DAMTP)
- đ Date & Time: Friday 15 May 2009, 16:30 - 17:30
- đ Venue: Seminar Room B, Rutherford Building, Cavendish Laboratory
Abstract
I will provide a brief introduction to Bayesian model selection and the Bayesian evidence, and will use this framework to study the problem of selecting between different mechanisms of supersymmetry breaking using current data. I will present results regarding the minimal representatives from the gravity, gauge, anomaly and moduli mediated scenarios. Particular attention will be paid to the effect of the dark matter constraint and the sign of the mu parameter.
