GRAW02 - Computational and algorithmic methods This talk will concern connected reductive algebraic groups (CRAGs) defined over an algebraically closed field. To each CRAG one can associate a combinatorial invariant known as its root datum. A classic result of Chevalley states that the isomorphism classes of CRA Gs are in bijective correspondence with the isomorphism classes of root data. This begs the question, when are two root data isomorphic? In this talk we will describe an algorithmic solution to this problem. Part of this is joint work with Jean Michel.
