Having worked in the field of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for over 14 years in both academia and industry I will present my experiences. I will cover topics ranging from academic CFD code development to commercial code application. These will be discussed in the context of single-phase turbulence and multi-phase flows with phase-change. Application areas will include both industrial and environmental flows. Industrial flows will be mostly based on oil/gas and nuclear power. Environmental flows will be atmospheric and concerned with both indoor and outdoor spaces.
