Having worked in the field of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for over 14 years in both academia and industry I will present my experiences. I will cover topics ranging from academic CFD code development to commercial code application. These will be discussed in the context of single-phase turbulence and multi-phase flows with phase-change. Application areas will include both industrial and environmental flows. Industrial flows will be mostly based on oil/gas and nuclear power. Environmental flows will be atmospheric and concerned with both indoor and outdoor spaces.

This talk is part of the Institute for Energy and Environmental Flows (IEEF) series.
