DESCRIPTION:I will show how to construct a unitary S-matrix for\nparticle
collisions at transplanckian energies\, where the\nformation of a black ho
le is expected on classical grounds\,\nthus hinting a path towards the res
olution of the information paradox.\nWithin the effective diagrams approac
h by Amati-Ciafaloni-Veneziano\nand by devising an improved vertex for rea
l graviton emission\,\nwe resum emission diagrams to all orders and derive
the spectrum\nof gravitational bremsstrahlung.\nThis spectrum has very pe
culiar and interesting properties. In fact\,\nthe average energy of emitte
 d gravitons decreses at\nincreasing center-of-mass energies\, in a way res
embling Hawking's radiation. Furthermore the spectrum suffers an exponenti
al\ndecay ~exp(-omega/T) with a "quasi-temperature" of the order of Hawkin
 g's\ntemperature T_H.
