DESCRIPTION:CMIH short course on Image Reconstruction in Biome
dical Imaging\n\nAbstract: The course will provide
an introduction to state-of-the art methods for i
mage reconstruction in biomedical imaging and its
applications\, with an outlook to challenging prob
lems in current research. The series will start wi
th an introductory part providing an overview of d
ifferent image modalities and the mathematical for
mulation of the corresponding image reconstruction
problems\, before proceeding to a discussion of v
ariational regularization methods.\n\nIn the secon
d half of the course we will discuss modern high-d
imensional problems related to dynamic and spectra
l imaging. Particular focus will be put on motion
correction techniques and their use. Finally we wi
ll give a perspective on multimodality imaging. \n
\nThis lecture concludes the introduction and over
view of different image modalities\, mathematical
formulation of the image reconstruction problems
