 s between visual perception\, computational theories of vision\, and compu
 ter processing of images. It will touch on: perspective in drawings and ho
 w a computer can understand it\; illusions of colour perception and the th
 eory due to Edwin Land\, the inventor of the Polaroid camera\; stereoscopi
 c vision\, illusions and making computers see in depth . There will be var
 ious demonstrations of how the understanding of visual perspective\, colou
 r and texture has helped to produce more powerful tools for manipulating i
 mages by computer.
