DESCRIPTION:Segmentation of Organs at Risk for Radiotherapy Pl
anning - Abstract (part 2)  \;
In radiot
herapy planning the anatomical contouring of organ
s at risk (OAR) with speed and accuracy is importa
nt. In this talk we introduce a method to compute
a semiautomatic 3D segmentation of certain OAR\, b
y approximating a minimal surface from a network o
f minimal paths. We briefly discuss some of the ch
allenges inherent to this method and detail some p
roposed improvements. Finally\, results are presen
ted for the 3D segmentation of the kidney based on
three contours from the surface of the object. <
