DESCRIPTION:With the pressing global challenges of biodiversit
 y loss\, climate change\, food security\, and pove
rty alleviation\, institutions are increasingly se
eking local solutions to jointly advance all of th
ese aims. My PhD research identifies fundamentally
different strategies for shaping farmers' behavio
urs in pursuit of such 'win-win' aims\, and explor
es how they play out across a landscape in norther
n Peru. This talk will focus on how outcomes for h
ouseholds and their surrounding communities and fo
rests are shaped\, and reflect on the implications
for current intervention design and research prac
tices. Bio: PhD student in the Dept. of Geography\
, co-convenor of a Political Ecology seminar at th
e same time so thanks for skipping to present here
