 , Molecular Biology)\n- 13 years in the Biotech and Pharmaceutical sector\
 nAND\n- Author of 2 books: "The Epigenetic Revolution" and "Junk DNA"\n\nM
 ost people working in biology are familiar with using model systems in the
  lab\, but sometimes we can use household pets to give us insights.  \nSta
 rting with the tortoiseshell cat\, Nessa Carey will guide us from a gene-b
 ased model of DNA into the dynamic view of the genome\, focussing on the 9
 8% of so-called junk and the weird world of epigenetics.\n\nBio:\nNessa Ca
 rey has a virology PhD from the University of Edinburgh and is a former Se
 nior Lecturer in Molecular Biology at Imperial College\, London. She worke
 d in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry for thirteen years and is now
  International Director for the UK's leading organisation for technology t
 ransfer professionals. She lives in Norfolk and is a Visiting Professor at
