DESCRIPTION:Analysis of medical images is essential in modern 
 medicine. With the increasing amount of patient da
 ta\, new challenges and opportunities arise for di
 fferent phases of the clinical routine\, such as d
 iagnosis\, treatment and monitoring.\nThe InnerEye
  research project focuses on the automatic analysi
 s of patients' medical images. It uses state of th
 e art machine learning techniques for the:\n\n•	au
 tomatic delineation and measurement of healthy ana
 tomy and anomalies\;\n•	robust registration for mo
 nitoring disease progression\;\n•	semantic navigat
 ion and visualization for improved clinical workfl
 ow\;\n•	development of natural user interfaces for
  medical practitioners.\n\nOur mission is to advan
 ce the state of the art in machine learning and ma
 rry it with medical expertise\, with application i
 n computer-aided diagnosis\, personalized medicine
  and efficient data management. Some of this techn
 ology is now incorporated within the Microsoft Ama
 lga Unified Intelligence System.
