DESCRIPTION:The LHC experiments now place significant constrai
nts on the parameters of Supersymmetry (SUSY). For
example\, in the case of the commonly studied mSu
gra model\, with equal mass squarks and gluinos th
e bounds now reach 1.4TeV. However\, if we move aw
ay from specific models it is possible that these
bounds can be substantially weakened. One example
is that if the SUSY particles have a compressed sp
ectra\, the particles produced in the cascade deca
y can be too soft to pass any cuts. In this case\,
the role of initial state radiation (ISR) is vita
l to discover and set limits on the spectrum. To a
ccurately describe ISR\, we find that matching par
ton showers to the matrix element prediction is es
sential. In addition\, we find that for very compr
essed spectra\, monojet searches can outperform th
 e typical SUSY analyses.
