  be happy to answer your questions. Unlike most MP
 s he has a science background\, having been an act
 ive Research Fellow at the Cavendish Laboratory st
 udying biophysics and bioinformatics of nucleic ac
 ids. His political interests include science polic
 y\, human rights\, civil liberties\, DNA databases
 \, education\, transport and climate change. At We
 stminster he chairs the Humanist Group\, an all-pa
 rty parliamentary group. He is also a keen cyclist
 .\n \nThis will be an excellent opportunity to com
 e and meet the MP for Cambridge\, and hear his vie
 ws on the current state of science in the UK\, and
  what the government is doing to help develop and
