DESCRIPTION:Abel Walekhwa helps countries prepare for emerging and re-emer
 ging diseases. This is achieved through mathematical modelling\, field sim
 ulations\, and diagnostics development. Over the last three years\, he has
  developed more than five mathematical models that have informed the Ugand
 an ministries on the early detection of diseases. He is a fourth-year PhD 
 student at the Department of Veterinary Medicine with Dr Andrew Conlan.\n
