DESCRIPTION:From microbes to mammals\, living organisms grow\, compete\, a
nd kill for resources\, causing their populations to segregate strongly fr
om antagonistic interactions. But how does motion disrupt this spatial org
anization\, either due to active swimming motility or a dynamical environm
ent like the turbulent ocean? I will discuss recent results on the dynamic
s of reproducing and nonreciprocally interacting organisms with active and
driven movement and highlight some implications for biology.
