DESCRIPTION:Thanks to the theories of  Regularity Structures\,
  Paracontrolled Distributions\nand Renormalisation
  we now have a robust framework for singular SPDEs
 \, which are “sub-critical”\nin the sense of renor
 malisation. Recently\, there have been efforts to 
 approach the situation\nof “critical” SPDEs and st
 atistical mechanics models. A first such treatment
  has been\nthrough the study of the two-dimensiona
 l stochastic heat equation\, which has revealed a\
 ncertain phase transition and has led to the const
 ruction of the novel object called the\nCritical 2
 d Stochastic Heat Flow. In this talk we will prese
 nt some aspects of this model\nand its constructio
 n. We will also present developments relating to o
 ther critical SPDEs.\nParts of this talk are based
  on joint works with Caravenna and Sun and others 
 with Rosati and Gabriel.
