 \nReadings for session 8 Feb 2024:\nMarzouk\, Mana
r et al. “Health system evaluation in conflict-aff
ected countries: a scoping review of approaches an
 d methods.” Conflict and health vol. 17\,1 30. 19
Jun. 2023.\nStrengthening health systems in confli
ct-affected settings has become increasingly profe
 ssionalised. However\, evaluation remains challeng
ing and often insufficiently documented in the lit
erature. Many\, particularly small-scale health sy
stem evaluations\, are conducted by government bod
ies or non-governmental organisations (NGO) with l
imited capacity to publish their experiences. It i
s essential to identify the existing literature an
d main findings as a baseline for future efforts t
o evaluate the capacity and resilience of conflict
-affected health systems. The paper aimed to synth
esise the scope of methodological approaches and m
ethods used in the peer-reviewed literature on hea
lth system evaluation in conflict-affected setting
 s.\n\nThis reading group is in-person only.\n\nFor
