DESCRIPTION:Plant immunity relies on both cell-surface and int
racellular immune receptors. Recent studies showed
that signaling triggered upon activation of these
receptors is more connected than previously thoug
ht\, and that both types of immune receptors can i
nduce congruent cellular immune signaling outputs.
Yet\, the exact molecular mechanisms and componen
ts involved in the generation and regulation of su
ch outputs are not fully understood. I will presen
t our recent efforts to gain a better understandin
g of the molecular basis of early immune signaling
\, particularly that mediated by cell-surface rece
ptor kinases acting as pattern-recognition recepto
 rs.
