DESCRIPTION:Our speaker next week is *Professor Sian Dutton*\, a Cambridge
  physicist and solid-state chemist from the Maxwell centre. Her group aims
  to prepare and characterize functional materials to explore energy applic
 ations such as electrodes\, magnetocalorics and hybrid photovoltaics. She 
 is also the director of the Winton Programme for the Physics of Sustainabi
 lity\, which aims to develop innovative technologies required for future r
 enewable energy systems. \n\nThis talk will focus on the magnetic frustrat
 ion seen in lanthanum oxides and how these could be tuned into easy-to-han
 dle alternatives to liquid Helium cooling methods.\n\nIf interested\, join
