DESCRIPTION:Space and satellite applications are among the biggest emergin
 g markets for engineering today. In this talk\, Peter will explore some pa
 rts of the life cycle of a satellite from conception and requirements thro
 ugh to design and testing\, before discussing operations and end-of-life. 
 Along the way\, he will explore some of the broader issues in the space in
 dustry today including space debris\, radio licensing and the impact of ge

 nThe talk will be given by Peter Christopher who is a Research Fellow at E
 mmanuel College\, Cambridge and in the Electrical Engineering Division at 
 Cambridge University Engineering Department where he specialises in Fourie
 r Optics. He recently also co-founded Exobotics\, a company designing and
