DESCRIPTION:The University of Cambridge is a centre of innovat
 ion where entrepreneurial organisations have a sig
 nificant role in converting cutting-edge research 
 into successful companies. In the past four years 
 CUTEC has showcased examples of how inventions bec
 ome innovations through venture funds. We are cont
 inuously broadening our scope to promote entrepren
 eurship by establishing partnership between the Un
 iversity and the venture capital industry. Our act
 ivities present opportunities for students to eval
 uate the impact their research can have on everyda
 y life.\n\nThe conference theme\, “Emerging Techno
 logies\, opportunities for tomorrow”\, focuses on 
 the challenges and successes of starting up a busi
 ness whose technology could change our lifestyle i
 n the future. We explore this topic by looking at 
 the fields of internet communication\, sustainable
  energy and personalised medicines. Most important
 ly\, we would like to thank our keynote speakers\,
